So, Ian and I had been saving up to buy a house. Our lease ends in November so I mentioned we should start looking now because it can take awhile to find a house and do everything necessary to close when we do find a house. So we started looking Sunday and we have found our house! A lot faster than we expected. We looked at probably 40 houses in 3 days and kept coming back to this one house so we put in offer, went back and forth a bit and as long as the inspection goes well (both the one we have to have and the FHA one) then we will have a new home October 5th! WOO! It's very exciting here!

On that note, no further planning has been done on our wedding. Still thinking February. Amazingly enough, our anniversary (Feb. 6) lands on a Saturday.. so that's cool! We also lightly mentioned that we would have it at the Domes which is cool because we could have the ceremony and the small reception there. It's $1350 for Sat. during Feb. for 6 hours. So that's a maybe. I mean, I was hoping for under $1000 wedding haha but I guess that's not logical! So I'll keep you all updated on that front but for now it's all house all the time. Because now we have to start packing, I want to go through a bunch of my stuff (and I recommended Ian do the same) to throw out stuff we don't need, I mean right now there's been a bunch of boxes in the basement we haven't seen since Nov. and obviously don't care about it! So we will see!

Almost from the grave hahaha, it's been a while. Well the latest news is that Ian and I are proposed! And we both don't want to plan the wedding part.. haha.... I mentioned just doing a courthouse thing and no reception but he didn't jump on it.... soo.... I just have no desire to shell out money for that, I'd rather save our money to get a house and pay bills off. But still, I'm excited to marry him!! And he is very excited. We are thinking of June of next year! So yea.. maybe I'll just tell my sister that I only want to spend MAAAAYBE 2000, probably less and she can go find everything for me, she really loves planning and junk. I dunno, Ian and I seem to be more excited for the after marriage part... he also wants to have kids right away :) I get rather giddy when he tells me!!!

Haven't updated, thought I would.

WORK

Well it's the same as usual. Stephanie makes me upset because she and her new boyfriend (Jim, another coworker) are always helping each other out and not thinking about anyone else in the lab. The latest is that they were caught making out in the freezer. Ok, so are we in high school? Can you not hold down your passions for an hour? I mean, they have the same work schedule so... they spend 24/7 with each other since they now moved in with each other. Get a life, really. And yea, probably some of it is that I'm jealous, I sure would like to spend that much time with Ian... but then again, I'd probably get really annoyed if I saw him all the time. Nothing to do with his personality, I just need a little bit of space. Which is funny because Jim kept complaining his last girlfriend never gave him space. And Jim also said he has a baby due in October... but Stephanie sure is keeping it wrapped up, it'll come out soon enough. Although secretly I feel that it's his last gf who's prego.. which would then be funny... buuuut, it would make sense that they moved in so quick then. As for real parts of work, I mentioned to Oscar that I wanted to go for the team lead position but he hasn't gotten back and since I do not kiss ass like Andre does, I doubt that I'll get the position. Part of me doesn't even want it.

SCHOOL

I just don't like this film 222 class but my other two classes are nice. Cannot complain, I'm learning a lot in my computer programming class. It's a lot of fun :) I've missed a lot of Film 222... and Animation is going well, can't wait to start getting motivated on my final project though.

LIFE

Life is grand, cannot complain here either. For our 1 year we saw Coraline (in 3D) and it was FANTASTIC! I can't wait to see it again! The animation was just... I really got into the movie, I really left life for awhile which is what you hope happens when you watch a movie but really, when does that ever happen? It did then! We had sushi and watched a movie at home and did other things.. haha of course :) And he got me a very large certificate to get things waxed off of me. It's something I wanted for our trip to FL to do but I prob. wouldn't have gone had I not gotten this gift soooo it's a great one :) And I got him rosetta stone: Italian. And he likes it :)

Jacki is prego with baby number 2. She's still laid off, obviously, but works at that restaurant. I guess having money issues but not really... she wants to go bankrupt (she has a lot of debt) and foreclose on her home... which I wouldn't think it the best idea but, she does what she wants.

Jen's fine except they cut her hours down at work too. It's making me nervous about my job but... there hasn't been any talk of cutting back or anything.

The neices and nephew are doing well too, Kenzie had strep throat a while ago but she's fine now. And she can walk!! Fun times :)

Mom is ok, I haven't seen her much this month since if she's not out of town for work she's in Cabo San Lucas soaking up the sun... lucky duck!

Alright, gonna go do something worthwhile before work!!

About Me..

So lately I'm starving all over the place. May have something to do with that I am not eating out anymore so when I was getting so full on meals, now I'm not... that's ok though.

Ian and I are having are housewarming party finally. It's this Saturday and I don't know when I'll have time to clean the place up. I guess I'll just have to be an early riser on Saturday.

School starts Jan. 26... I'm not thrilled or excited for it at all. Oh well. My first trip to FL is happening in March (for spring break but nothing like the spring breaks on MTV or whatever) Ian and I are having our 1yr anniversary on Feb 6th, and I still have to get the present I was thinking for him in which he guessed it right away. He knows me too well then. I don't give ANY HINTS!! We're going to a Japanese restaurant and then probably seeing a movie.

What else... nothing I guess, my life is pretty boring that's why I rarely update. I mean Ian & I are fantastic but nothing out of the ordinary ever happens. He's very sweet, as always :)

And I'm starving now so I'm gonna make lunch!

UGH!

I'm getting rather tired of work. I say this as I attempt to wait to be a team lead, in which I guess there are other people in the lab who want that position too so... who knows. Well, that's besides the point since they haven't posted the position yet sooo, who knows if they really will! I feel like I'm dragging my feet every day, I'm later and later every day too. It's so annoying, I used to be 10 minutes early every day, and that was cool because it's an extra 10 minutes I can add to my time card. I don't talk to anyone on my shift hardly, I mean I do if it's work related but otherwise, that's it. So it's boring there. I just listen to my music which tends to make the day go fast but I have more slow days then I used too. I have been here for 3 years (in Feb.), I guess the job is just old now. I felt this way about Blockbuster too. But it pays too well to quit, and I like the physical aspect of it. Sigh.

Other news, hrm... I don't think I have any other news. I'm excited for Ian & I's one year, that's Feb. 6th. And I'm mucho excited for our vacation in March because I've never been to Florida and it would be a nice change of pace. We're having our housewarming party in a couple weeks, that should be fun :) I should really figure out my loan situation since school starts soon... o.0

And yea, I'm tired and should get ready for lame work now...

So I was looking at a jewelry magazine...

And I was INSPIRED! They have this new diamond, the place I was looking at calls it a cocoa diamond but it is probably the prettiest thing I've ever seen! It's gorgeous and different! Anywho, while I looked at it I had this grand idea to draw this rich, snobby person wearing a bunch of these kind of diamonds in a gorgeous gown and it's after a party and she's on some elaborate silk couch and she eating chocolate dipped strawberries. So I told Ian about my sudden creativity, not what but just what sparked it, and we get onto a topic which goes like so:

Ian: Hrm, not that I'm asking now or looking but for future purpose you'll have to remind me of what it is you like
Me: gave him a description because I've thought about my ideal ring since I was in high school
Ian: hehe ok babes I'll have to save this text for awhile
Me: you better because I want it to be a surprise (something along those lines) and I don't think my sisters would be any help, my mom might though
Ian: Of course, I'm gonna make sure to ask their permission too, which I think I know the answer. But really it won't be for awhile so I don't wanna raise hopes for Christmas
Me: Oh aren't you just the cutest thing!! Asking for permission... that's so sweet! Love you!

Short convo I know, but when it finished I felt aweful... I wasn't trying to press this sort of topic by ANY means and it happened and I felt like I was being pushy even though I wasn't. I don't expect anything for Christmas like that.. even when the whole world says otherwise I've been trying to keep a level head. The only thing jewelry wise I asked for was a nice pair of earrings (doesn't have to be real diamonds or anything) with a sturdy back so that they STOP FALLING OUT OF MY EARS!!! I lose so many pairs because of that.

Anywho, so when I got home I felt bad that I had brought it up so I mentioned this to him and he said he didn't feel pressured at all and that he wishes he could fast forward to the time when it will be right to ask. So that's sweet and now I feel fine about it. I did happen to find a watch I liked though, but I don't need a watch... I have a watch I just need a new battery...

What else, nothing new I guess... Did I mention my sister got married again last week? Jacki Finstrom is her name now, I probably spelled that wrong.. oh well. He's a cool guy, can't complain... she seems happy for now....

Feeling Cozy In The New Place

Alright, well, Jacki got married last week on Wednesday, her last name is now Finstrom or Finstrum... She seems happy and they'll probably pop out a kid soon no doubt.

I watched Caden for the first time since he was just born... it went wonderfully. He said Ian and I are his best friends!! I almost cried :) It was a lot of fun, there's a few pics but I couldn't get them to upload right now, maybe another day. The cats are getting along wonderfully!! I'm extremely happy about that!!

School is ending very very very soon and I still have a lot to do with my animation but... that's ok, because I believe in myself!! My other class I'm doing great in as well so that's cool... AND I have a lot to shop for in regards to Christmas... I need to get up on that but I have to finish my animation before I can shop for that. All these rules, I've grounded myself!!

Ok, final thoughts... hmmm... don't have many except the usual.... I love Ian and he's so great with Caden, I barely had to do anything!! It was nice, but I had a lot of fun :)

The New Place

Well last Saturday was the BIG DAY! We moved into our new place here in West Milwaukee and it went very smoothly. It looks nice and homey now, though there are still random boxes that need to be unpacked. We spent almost a thousand bucks at target that night on rugs, a new comforter and sheets, garbage can, some wall hangings, new lights. It was worth it though!! The cats... are... doing well. Tommy is really nice and just seems a little curious about Sassy but she's not very happy with the new roommate haha. She growls at him a lot but it has lessened as the week goes on so maybe someday she'll be ok with Tommy :) What else is new, hmm.... Work is work, I'm closer to it now! School is going well still but I am really slacking on my animation and should be working on that as opposed to typing here... oh well. Money wise I think I'm struggling but... such is life, now I live paycheck to paycheck just like every other joe-schmo out there. Ugh, ok, I should go and do something productive for a bit..

Well it's been a while so I figured I should update on my life!

Jacki is having major kidney problems but they say it's not as serious as they once thought. However she's always in pain so I think her doctor is on crack. Mom's had her brace off now for awhile and seems a lot better minus her voice still being different due to the doctor's moving her esophagus during surgery.

In four weeks I will be moving into my new place! And Ian says he's going to try and move in everything quickly instead of leisurely... which I like because then it's OUR home quicker. I've already packed a lot of my stuff up (being that I have a million books and DVDs) It's getting rather clean and/or barren in here heh. That's ok though.

Going to focus on Ian here, I have to try and remember all the wonderful things he's said to me... there's a reason I blog, I forget so easily and I don't want to!! But last night he said that I make him feel special and unique.. I love him, he's so sweet and easy to talk to!!

Just went trick or treating with my nieces and nephew :) That was fun, Caden is always adorable as is Kenzie. Peyton was terrified of Ian's Bender costume haha, it was kind of funny. Caden kept saying "Hi Robot" or would tell other people to talk to the robot ahah, it was so cute.

And then there's work... nothing too special there. Stephanie decided her husband's not worth the time I guess and filed the paperwork for a divorce last Monday, then Tuesday she kissed Jim (another coworker) and now I think they've had drunken sex. I really don't feel like talking to her anymore due to this. I mean, if you're not happy with your husband, fine, but it really looks like she filed just so she could play around and not feel guilty.

I can't think of anything else... hmmm. Tis all!

The House!

Ian and I are going to rent a house near West Allis, it's soooo nice. Hard wood floors, a fireplace that is just for show but still nice, stained glass, built in china cabinets, the old world charm that was in my locust place is in this place, 3 bedroom, full LARGE clean bright basement, an attic that is decently sized and that's where the third bedroom is, We're gonna see it again this Saturday and take pictures this time.. AND sign the lease!! So exciting!! We move December 1st, I hope to move my stuff in a couple days before that for less stress on me :) Ian is probably going to move in slowly since his lease ends at the end of December. Anywho, it's got a little yard but it's nice and the person behind us has a whole flower garden that we get to look at sooo works for me :) I'm so happy!! Can NOT wait!!! Below is a rough layout, I can't remember everything because I was so excited to see it that things slipped my mind!!
